2019 Food Trend Forecasts Commence
The Specialty Food Association, host of the annual Fancy Food Shows, announced its 2019 food trends. The panel includes CCD Innovation’s Melina Romero and Kara Nielsen who contributed ideas for the list. Not surprisingly, Plant-based Food tops the list that also includes Cassava in new snacks and baked goods; Fermented Functional Beverages like drinking vinegars, mushroom brews and kvas; and Ice Cream Renaissance covering a host of new ice cream styles, flavors and recipes.
